GLAUKOM SYNOD is a submarine Industrial/ electronic subproject located in the North of France. Strange noises often escape the torture chamber, as the walls often tremble under the sarcastic beats of the agonizing computer...
Band/artist history
GLAUKOM SYNOD is a submarine subproject of Gabriel S. The origins of the project might date back to 1994-95, while G. spent quite a lot of time on his computer to try making noise and death metal with Windows' recorder, or to build songs with fast tracker, and send it to the French magazine PC Team so that it would be published on their CDrom, under the form of mod files (At this time, it seemed to be a nice way to be heard... And the Internet didn't exist.) But GLAUKOM SYNOD was really born in 2004 when G. to experiment once again with the dark side of the processor. So he began making noises and "old school" eletro indus rythms on his computer... But the result, some kind of "Ambient and noisy industrial", was quite boring and too much repeating over and over the same droning patterns... The help of a friend, an harsh noise maniac, helped to have a clearer vision of the situation, and some massive changes and explosive manipulations occured! Finally few months later, he had enough cool songs and experiments in sonic homicide to keep the best... The first demo "Obsessism XXIII" was ready and almost released.... But it almost remaint dormant for months, because of a lack of trust in the music, and after all "Would the scene be interested in this "old" sound?" Anyway the demo has been circulating in quite few quantities, and the few feedbacks it got were quite enthousiastic... Months later, the use of a new computer, and new musical tortures led to the experiments of harder sounds in the form of harsh noise. A second demo, that could be considered as a MCD, was released under the "Hydrocephalizer" name. It contains a 13 minutes long harsh noise/ industrial song, and few other stuffs... Then, few months later, as the real lack of a job could be felt, more free time was left blank and empty, the brainstorm was quite too strong to keep it calm... so the urge to work on more and more songs could be felt! Isolation and cybernetic concentration led to various new songs, experiments, remixs... And the 3rd demo entitled "Uczulony" was born. GLAUKOM SYNOD is currently working on decently spreading its 3 demos. Some say it's never too late, but one who doesn't move his ass will never receive interesting feedbacks and will keep on lamenting on the decrepitude of his putrid debauchery... Bands and distros who would like to trade are welcome, trades are easy going, and wholesale prices would be as cheap as possible! Some collaborations such as splits tapes/ CDr/ compilations would be welcome as well...
