Armor Armor
Armor is written from a soldier's perspective. It is pro-military and antiwar.
Ghostrunner is intelligent cock rock. Or so they're told.
Following the creative lead of Chris and Pascal Buckley, and produced by Robby Takac of the Goo Goo Dolls, Ghostrunner debuts its new EP, American Idle. It’s a collection of songs which give you insight into the obstacles you place in your own path and the time you dedicate to your own self-sabotage. For example, in featured songs such as Smitten, we are reminded that often we don’t get what we want. The hook of the song gives the message that people have to grow beyond: “Turn it up! Turn it up! They’re playing our songboy meets girland everything goes wrong.”Band/artist history
Band History ? Tell you what. Listen to the music. Maybe read our scribblings on our website, ghostrunnermusic.com. But we're not going to bore you with our story any more than we did up top. Not that it's boring--it's been very exciting. But we'd rather you just listened to the music and made up fantastic, odd stories about us. Then tell them to your friends.Have you performed in front of an audience? We're playing out a fair amount--not as much as we want or need to, but steadily increasing. In the next few weeks we'll be at Bug Jar in Rochester, State Street Tavern in Erie, some joint in NYC, Riddles in northern New Jersey and someplace in our hometown, Buffalo. As for special moments--playing live is one long special moment. Unless you have really drunk people moshing oddly--we love that.
Your musical influences
Our sound is influenced by everything. Last comparison we heard was "Fugazi meets Foo Fighters meets Radiohead." Try us out for yourself. Chris grew up as a metalhead, Pascal grew up as a jazz and classical guy and D Mott grew up as a gospel drummer. We all listen to everything from Bach to Motorhead to Jeff Buckley to Bill Evans to opera.
But boy do we like heavy guitars. What equipment do you use?
Chris is a Gibson guy--Les Paul, 335, Gospel with Mesa Boogie Amps. Pascal plays Fender and Alembic basses through Ampeg amps, and D Mott plays Regal Tip sticks on Ayotte Drums. As for mics--the SM58. You can drop it in a puddle and plug it in.
