GFK is a 5 piece political hardcore/metal outfit from Quebec City, Canada. They have been rockin' around Eastern Canada for 7 years now. The line-up have changed several times since the band was searching for the style that fits the most with their attitude and inner feelings. Now, the band has been with the same line-up for a while, which is:
Jessy : Vocals
Vincent : Drums
Remy : Guitar & Back Vocals
Mike : Guitar
Sonny : Bass & Back Vocals
In the past three years, GFK have toured many cities all around Canada, even Europe with bands like Snapcase, 59 Times The Pain, Darkest Hour, Misconduct, Raised Fist, Undying, Boy Sets Fire and many more. Their latest release, "In defence of politics" have been welcomed warmly since its release in October 2002. They have recently signed to the canadian G7 Welcoming Committee label. (Propagandhi, I Spy, Malefaction ect.) and
will release a new cd in May 2004.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We always do. We did 101 shows last year and we will not stop, we love it. A third European Tour is planned in January.
Your musical influences
We listen to a lot of stuff. We are not influenced by lots of bands. But we can't hide that we listen to a lot of chaotic hardcore and hard-hitting metal :)
