Gergely Foldvari Trio
Named after Hungarian born pianist and composer FÖLDVÁRI Gergely currently living in Budapest and New York, the (GFT) plays the frontman's post-bebop, latin influenced world fusion compositions, featuring virtuoso accompaniment to the lyric and dynamic improvisations and uniquely harmonised and melodious piano themes. GFT's double live CD "Sun, Rise!" (MusicBank - Universal) documents two fantastic concerts, with a great crowd. At their concerts, GFT regularely features guest vocalists and other instrumentalists. Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
The GFT was formed for a live performance at the Kunsthallle Jazz Club of Budapest. Since its inception in 1999, the GFT has played in many venues, including concerts in Germany and Austria.

What equipment do you use?
We use acoustic pianos wherever possible, a bass guitar and drum set, with monitor speakers.
Anything else?
We often invite guests to appear with us: soloists, usually a vocalist or a brass player.
