Named after Hungarian born pianist and composer FÖLDVÁRI Gergely currently living in Budapest and New York, the (GFT) plays the frontman's post-bebop, latin influenced world fusion compositions, featuring virtuoso accompaniment to the lyric and dynamic improvisations and uniquely harmonised and melodious piano themes. GFT's double live CD "Sun, Rise!" (MusicBank - Universal) documents two fantastic concerts, with a great crowd. At their concerts, GFT regularely features guest vocalists and other instrumentalists. The GFT was formed for a live performance at the Kunsthallle Jazz Club of Budapest. Since its inception in 1999, the GFT has played in many venues, including concerts in Germany and Austria.
