Hi let me first start by saying thank you for taking the time to check out my site. My name is George Macris I am from Canton Ohio.
I got my start playing in high school with my friend Geoff Baker. We had an acoustic duo for a while. Him and I started a really bad band and played like animals in my parents garage. A short time later I started playing guitar and writing some songs on my own. I played around solo for a while. When my future wife was attending Kent State I met my friend Matt. Him and I started to play together. That is when we decided to call on some other musicians and make our band official. We got my brother Jim to play drums and my friend (and now brother in law) Rob to play some bass. We formed our band Miles Ahead. The band has had the same lineup since 2000. We took a short break in late 2006 and I started recording some more of my own works at my home studio. At that time I was also playing music with my friend Darryl AKA Rhyno Beatz in a studio project we called Big City Pigeon. I still record with BCP when we can. I also got in a band called Sweet Spot. I played with them for around nine months, and it was a blast. Just recently I decided to get Miles Ahead back into full form and we are rehearsing and working on getting our chops back and we should be out and gigging in no time at all. I am planning on hitting the studio pretty hard in the near future and am going to start working on some new material for a new album. Thanks for taking the time to check out my site and be sure to check back for some new songs soon.
I play live with the band Sweet Spot. I also play solo sometimes.
