Band/artist history
My first appearances were in Hull & Yorkshire in the late 1960's and I made an album on a white label that I produced myself using a Brennel 7.5 inch tape-machine.
I prefer studio work and commenced the new era of music making in February 2007 working with Joe Read (ex-Textones, Ry Cooder, Shanti) and Andy Jackson (Pink Floyd engineer).
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I first played live in 1967 in a group called 'The Shifting Shindigs'. We played in Hull at an open-air venue (East Park) and the PA system wasn't working. I was playing the electric guitar and I could hardly hear myself let alone the audience. Next gig is a video shoot on April 29th 2008 in Kingston-on-Thames in SW London.
Your musical influences
I first started songwriting after hearing the Beatles/Rolling Stones in that crazy 1963/64 era.
What equipment do you use?
Lots of Joe Read's recording equipment but I do have Cubase/Audition on my laptop.
My guitars are a Gibson J200 and a Fender Stratocaster.
Anything else?
I call my music 'Sixth-age' - it sure beats playing golf. I work very hard at it and would be interested in 'twinning' with anyone of similar interests (indie rock) wherever they are in the world.
I have my own 'Tigersun Records' label in the UK and I am a member of the 500-strong Association for UK Independent Music labels (AIM).
