Although the beginnings of the band reach further back, the actual work started in September 2003, when the three founding members Miso Drobez (Miso) - Guitar, Matej Tekavcic (Tekavc) - Bass and Miha Friedrich (Frido) - Drums got together and started "hanging out at our place where we usually meet" (The Place). This is when the first five songs were recorded on an old casette recorder.
Later that year a few new songs were made and the group started looking for a singer. The first that joined was Grega aka. "Kaubojc", but he was too busy to be involved in serious work, he was later replaced by Izak, with whom the band performed its first concert and that is when the current band name was born.
The name General Musashi was a composition of labels on two of the band's pieces of musical equipment, but later on we realized that general Musashi was actually a historic figure, which gave the name additional appeal. Later that year Izak lost interest in the band and there was a period of over one year when the group was looking for a singer.
There were a few people who applied for the spot, but they were ruled out because of one thing or the other, in the end a man who was on most of the auditions as a group fan (Jernej Skrabec), picked up the mike and it was then decided that he will be the singer thereafter. In January 2006 the first demo CD was recorded in order to promote the band and start a more active concerting. But the story does not end here...
The music we are playing is hard to define genere-wise, it is a mixture of Hard Rock, Blues and Funk, it depends on a song how these elements intertwine, but it is a fact that everything sounds hard and fast.Have you performed in front of an audience?We play live, everywhere, under all circumstances :)! Playing live is the best experience a band can have! Our biggest was playing on the stadium in front of approximately 10.000 people!
