GEMINI
Marlon White, better known as Gemini, is 27 years old. He was born an only child in Paterson, N.J on June 7, 1976 to a single mother. He moved to Centenary, S.C. at the age of 10, where he attended and graduated from Terrells Bay School. After graduating he formed his first group called Divine Unity. They performed talent shows for some local venues but eventually took separate paths and the writing stopped for two years. In 1996, he was working at Russell Stovers Company and decided to make a major decision concerning his lifes goals by enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. After enlisting in the Air Force, he was stationed at Robins AFB in Warner Robins, GA. Upon arrival, he began meeting other artists and instantly knew that it was time to put his talents to use. So he began rapping at local clubs and different events around Middle Georgia soon to be known as an ear catching MC and at the same time making contacts and learning more about the music industry. In Jan 1999, he was introduced to producer Kevin John while working part-time at the WIBB 97.9 radio station as one of the on air personalities. From that day the duo began recording and making a bond that would soon lead to the forming of RU Records. One of Geminis future goals include becoming one of the top artists in the industry, but also being recognized as one of the most prominent businessmen. Gemini is a young gifted artist with a level head, with plans to be very prosperous in the industry of music. Looking at everyday as another challenge, he wakes up and takes what the world is going to give him and runs with it. This South Carolina native is bound to top charts with his creative lyrics and storytelling format, definitely someone to watch in the year 2003.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes I have done live shows on the campus of Fort Valley State University, The Atrium in Atlanta Ga. and different clubs. I love performing live the energy you receive from the crowd is unexplainable.
Your musical influences
My biggest influences are 2Pac, Mary J. Blige, Trick Daddy and Mac(No Limit Records). All of these artists bring something different to the table, but what they have in common is music and lyrics you can feel and relate to everyday. That is why these are standout artists to me.Anything else?
