Creatively and spiritually I look up to Kirk Franklin, Tonéx, Yolanda Adams, CeCe Winans and Mary Mary. These artists along with many current neo soul and R&B singers inspire me to write powerful, down to earth messages based on my love for music and faith in Christ. My creative objective and dream is to incorporate distinct neo soul, jazz, new age and classical components with gospel and soul music. I want to be a part of furthering the coexistence of Gospel/Christian music with the mainstream; not for personal gain or popularity but for the purpose of maintaining positive images and messages to the masses in a world where there are very little.
I sing at open mic nights, but have not established any live gigs at any particular place. Singing in front of a live audience requires much more skill and dicipline than singing in a studio. I use much more breath control, and pray twice as hard that I don't crack. Studio singing you can always retake a track.
I love every genre of music...My CD collection can prove that. From Enya, Marie Brennan, and Seal to Faith Evans, Dwele, and Kanye West. I love all Gospel and Christian music. Tonex, Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, Jars of Clay, Katinas, etc. God created all things including music, why not enjoy it all!!!
