Fusing energetic, edgy modern rock with the song-based, power pop sensibilities of Cheap Trick, Foo Fighters and Butch Walker, New Jersey pop/rock quartet, Full Out Freak is a band about which no assumptions should be made.

Together since July 2003, the members of Full Out Freak have a long personal history together. Vocalist Joey wrote and recorded on his own for close to three years, building an arsenal of material while searching for a distinctive sound that he could bring to a band situation. Joey started collaborating with his close friend, Eric and the duo began to create the musical vision that would become Full Out Freak. Believing the prospects for finding a guitarist who could play, sing and write songs were slim, Eric called on his college friend, Will, with whom he’d played off and on in various bands. Knowing Will was not only a great guitarist/writer but an amazing lead singer as well, Eric realized he’d be a perfect fit for the band. Will, Joey and Eric then approached another friend, Joe, whom they considered to be one of the most respected and best drummers around. Since Will and Joe had a six-year history playing together in another band, a tight bond between the two musicians was already established. The fact that everyone could sing and play multiple instruments served to solidify the line up.

What makes Full Out Freak different from other melodic, modern rock bands is a palpable chemistry evident in the band members’ dynamic interrelation, which carries over into every aspect of the music, on stage and off. “When the four of us got together, we knew early on that we had some very serious, undeniable chemistry,” says Eric. “We felt it from our early rehearsals, and it’s spilled into the studio where we continue to gel in our musical collaboration.” Sharing a broad range of influences from The Beatles, Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin to The Black Crows, Jane’s Addiction and Lenny Kravitz, the music of Full Out Freak features blended vocal harmonies, punchy, memorable choruses, muscular guitar riffs, super tight instrumental interplay and universally appealing lyrical messages.
