...formed in may of 2002, we are a combination of different musical styles and disciplines mainly revolving around the metal genre. hailing out of wilmington, delaware, forfeit's sound is on the darker side of rock. forfeit writes songs that explore a wide range of emotional highs and lows while incorporating poly-rhythms and melodic vocals into their sound. forfeit's members come from diverse musical backgrounds with each member contributing from their varied influences to the overall original product. although we are new to the scene, forfeit's members have done their time in and out of bands throughout the years, merging together with intensity and emotion.

Forfeit - 5 Song EP
If you prefer your music loud and heavy, you may want to check into forfeit. Their 5 song EP has the very quality that propelled bands like Iron Maiden and Motorhead to the top of their respective games. You get some heavy guitar shredding at times along with vocals that range from almost too soft to the screams that make metal what it is today. You see, here's the deal, Forfeit draw strongly on their predecessors skills while still adding a new touch they can call their sound.
Musically sound, and DEAD on lyrics and vocals that transform this 5 song palate wetter into a very good metal record. Scorching with a few weaknesses, such as the at times almost stereotypical metal approach, but still enough personality added that it doesn't seem to be a very big drawback as the energetic approach seems to mold a nice little place in the dark corners of metal for Forfeit. The CD is a good teaser with "Mess", "Angel", and "Split Circle" paving the road ahead for their next full length project that will shine if they learn a bit from this last release. Recommended only for Metal fans.
