We are four kids in the heart of sin city trying to break the stereotypes on christian metal. We really just want to rock hard and show people there's more then one way to worship the creator. Our style of music is heavy with biblically inspired lyrics.Band/artist history
Final Direction is a Christian thrash metal band from the lovely city of Las Vegas!
It all started back in March of 2002, three musicians decided to start a band! Bassist Trev Cartwright, Drummer Beaver Correia, and Guitarist John Dunne set off on the beginning of the rock n roll journey.
After a show at Trev's Church, Final Direction added hxc vocalist Kyle Barfield to their line-up. After much practice and song-writing, they booked a show in December of 2002 with the Greatest Punk Band known to vegas...The Pinheads!
Final Direction was then accepted to play in a local Battle of the Bands on New Years Eve @ Central. They Battled against 12 amazing bands, some of which were The Pinheads, Last Hour In Paris, Liquid Habitat, Enthalpy and many more. The show was a great success and because of their great efforts the boys got 3rd place! But sadly by the end of the week Final Direction had to part ways with Vocalist Kyle Barfield. So in his absence they held an audition and decided that Mr. Jaron Brumley would be the next singer for Final Direction.
Although he changed their genre he still ushered in a great new feel for the band. They then quickly booked a house party in February of 2003 with their favorite local band Last Hour In Paris. The show went great and the new era of Final Direction began.
After that they were asked by Harvest Church to play for the annual winter camp, what a show! They played up in Mt. Charelston from midnight til 1-30 and rocked the mountain FD style! Then a few weeks later Final Direction was asked to play at Calvary Chapel Green Valley in March of 2003. They played in front of their largest crowd and had the whole night to themselves. It was by far their best concert of em all. And at the concert a DJ from KKVV asked if they could play one of our songs on the radio! And within the week Final Direction's song "Away" was played through the air waves for everyone to hear!
Then they were asked to play for their schools carnival. Everyone that was playing the games at the carnival stopped what they were doing to hear the four boys perform!
Things were going great at this time, but unfortunately while Guitarist John was on a mission trip to peru, Jaron Brumley quit the band in April of 2003! As sudden as it was, everyone expected it to happen. Now Final Direction was left with no singer to perform with. So instead of waiting for one to come, they wanted to try a show with just the three of them.
So in June of 2003 they headlined a Graduation party with four other great bands. They played with Thrown Out, Last Hour In Paris, Ready and Waiting, and Enthalpy. When Final Direction played it was their first time playing as a three piece since their first show a year ago. Although they got good crowd response, they felt as a band someone was missing. And that someone was Steven Arnold!
After an audition with him they new he was the man for them! They quickly began writing new songs and re-writing the old ones.
They then set off to the land Of Prescott, Arizona. The crowd involvement was insane! The band got a chance to play twice, and both times the crowd just went crazy and made them feel right at home. Even though they were five hours away!
At the New Years Battle Of The Bands, the band competed against 15 other great bands and won the crowd over! The night was full of great moments but none was greater then hearing the anouncer say that Final Direction had won the Battle of the Bands! This was a huge moment in the history of the band. At the same event a year priar, the band got 3rd place, but 2004 was a different story.
Currently the band has just recorded their first demo, and is preparing to play alot of shows around town in this new year. If anyone would like to contact us about shows, sorry but the band is split up now. We are still all available around vegas, if you would like to get in touch for any reason post it in the message board. PeaceHave you performed in front of an audience? We play with any and all bands in the Vegas area who are passionate about making music and enjoy performing it.

Can you tell me what is christian rock?
In China we are taught to have no religion, but I am always confused about some religious things.
