Papa Likes Martinis Papa Likes Martinis

Quirky sounding track that reminds me of Luke Viberts Wagon Christ or Plug but not that crappy last CD with bj cole.

Trip Hop

All is Lost in the Heat of Battle All is Lost in the Heat of Battle

This track starts off with a nice little tune and slowly devolves into a crunchy cacophany of noise. It is about being on a battle field and everything slowly comming unstitched before your eyes.

Electronica

Band/artist history
Played keyboards in a half dozen different bands from the mid to late 80's. OUr style was in the vein of 'the cure', 'echo and the bunny men', 'Souxie...' etc. Around '89 the band I was in went grunge and kicked me out for not being grunge enough. I packed up all my equipment and didn't touch it again until the winter of 2001. A friend gave me a cd with a slew of soft synths, trackers, plugins, wave editors etc. And I had the bug to make music again. So as of now, I've leared a lot but still have much more to learn musically, technologically and production wise.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Not presently. Right now it's all Pc based manipulations. Personally, I think a guy on stage with nothing but a laptop is kind of boring. So until I come up with something substantial to add, the world is going to have to wait...
Your musical influences
DNB: Grooverider, Dieselboy, Plug, Tobin Amon, Ronnie Size, Torque, Squarepusher, Photek, Source Direct, Speedy J, etc. Trip-hop: Kruder and Dorfmeister, Lamb, Theivery corporation, Portishead, Wagon Christ, Tosca, Mono, Stereo Lab etc. IDM: Aphex Twin / Polygon Window, Autechre, Funkstorung, etc. Plus others like: Psychic Warriors of gaia, Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Bjork, Einstruzenden Neubauten, Art of Noise, Filter, Bentley Rythm Ace, Chemical Brothers, Orbital, Loop guru, And on and on...
What equipment do you use?
FruityLoops, SoundForge, Taureg, HammerHead, Audio Mulch, Buzz.
