Family Comes First is the newest member of Hip-Hop's generation next. Family Comes First is composed of three emcees directly influenced by the greats of Hip Hop and R&B. T-Rell, born in the Bronx, La-Kid, a New Jersey native, and Syphon, straight from Harlem, bring a refreshing artistic smoothness of a Harlem Diplomat.
As a trio FCF posses catchy hooks and a unique style of in & out rhyming. Not since power groups like M.O.P and the group formerly known as Swif & Wesson have listeners seen a group of emcees this great. Since an early age rapping has always been in the forefront of their lives. They have been honing their craft since the "beat box" when they were in elementary school together to performing digitally programmed studio tracks. Using hard word and dedication they've molded their craft to encompass dazzling similes, metaphors, and powerful punch lines to capture the most underground listener as well as the most commercial of listeners. They revel in the fact that not only reach the hard streets but also touch the minds of traditional Hip Hop enthusiast.
FCF got started out in this forever-changing rap game battling local rivals in the streets and local venues of the tri-state area. FCF began buzzing in and around New Jersey with their take no prisoner attitude. Eager to put their articulate style to test they began entering in talent shows and showcases quickly disposing of all challengers in their arena. Here are some of the places where they rocked Club Rhumba (Bronx), Geronimo's (Teaneck), Mackey Park (Englewood NJ). As the fans grew so did the appetite for bigger venues. Since 2003 their music has been creating a buzz from the belly of Hip Hop with classics like "Grind On Me" which took New Jersey by storm. This buzz expanded into local club performances and disc jockey airplay that in turn expanded their fan base and popularity.
FCF countinued the buzz into the studio and put massive energy in the building a network to be the newest "Diamond in the Ruff". Their poise and seamlessly polished abilities landed them a performance in front of MTV's VJ La La (Direct Effect) bringing them closer to the reality of bring the game to its knees. With the help of their mentor Un Kasa of The Diplomats they began thinking longevity in Hip Hop forming the trio into a team of rap entrepreneurs.
With upcoming mixtape ventures and the publications of their own cd's, and mixtapes ass well, Family Comes First is poised to take the industry by storm. Being more than articulate and flashy, or just playing on words should be more than evident on this year's Major League Beats: Bases Loaded MixtapeThey also plan to drop a studio album within the same month to maximize the steadily growning fan base that also consist of cities outside of the tri-state area like Washington DC, Richmond Virginia, and Las Vegas Nevada.
