Acoustic General

We are “Exit 113,” a variety band, which began in 2002, that hails from Des Moines, Iowa. Our group consists of musicians ranging in age from 18 to 49, and our genre of music is primarily 50’s, 60s and 70s Rock ‘n Roll. As you can see by our playlist, we also play a little country, swing, and more recent rock, as well as a some originals.
Band/artist history
We bring a fresh new sound to the great old standards with our unique instrumentation, and personal backrounds. Our lead vocalist and saxophonist, Jill Anderson (age 22), provides a new and exciting twist to lyrics that were originally written for male performers. Our guitarist, Bob Long (the old guy of the group), with years of jazz background, puts some flair in the guitar licks with a little touch of jazz now and then. Pianist, Taylor Telford (age 22), has a great touch on the keys, and will amaze you with his finesse and musicality. Our youngest member, bassist, Jo Anderson (age 18), lays down those classic bass lines with the authority and precision of someone years older. The newest member of Exit113, Drummer, Joe Vaughan (age 24), plays with strong authority and driving vitality that keeps the band rockin’ from start to finish.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
