erikGneave loves music. He loves to express himself through song. He loves to get on stage and meet people where they are, to bring a smile to their faces.
Raised in Sheboygan, WI he combines Midwestern simplicity with heartfelt introspection to make songs that not only make you smile, but make you think. Erik has played for a variety of audiences and occasions throughout the Midwest as well as in the Boston area. In live performance he leads the audience on a journey through a world filled with laughter and tears, faith and doubt, lofty dreams and shattered expectations. He sings about real life and you feel real emotion. In high school his rock band, amalgam, won many competitions with Erik as lead singer, bassist, and co-songwriter. One prize included being flown to Colorado to meet Columbia Recording Artist, Train. After a year at college studying music, he realized that at this time in his life he just wants to write and play. erikGneave has a gift and he wants to share it.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yeah. Hey Erik! I just thought I'd pop on in here and say that I'm listening to your music.... again! :) *sigh* Man... you have some of the best sounding songs, and like Tiffany said, your voice is positively to die for. So like... any chance you have a CD yet? Are the songs posted here, are these all you have? I'm greedy when it comes to nice things... got more? hahaha Seriously, though... I'm just kicking back, headphones on, breathing a sigh of awe, comfort, and pure enjoyment. Erik, I'm listening to your music right now. I am totally captivated. You have to be one of my most favorite that I have heard on any of these sites that I listen to music on. I can't say what specifically I love, because I'd be writing for quite a while. It's the combination of everything, and a really polished sound(and excellent vocals-I melt at a great vocalist!), make this music that I will want to listen to over and over. And are you from Cambridge, MA? I just moved to Tennessee after living all of my previous 27 years in Western Mass-most recently a little town called Turners Falls.:-) Anyway, thank you so much for sharing your music-you definitely made my night!
