EPHESUS (Eh-feh-sus) What is Ephesus? Ephesus is a blend of collective minds looking for something different. Looking for something fun. Looking for soul. Looking for MUSIC. Ephesus is a five-piece band with its membes from De La Salle University. The core group, Matt, Rex and Bello, have been playing around the teenage band circuits for about two years now, and have established their name since early 2000. With new and current drummer/percussionist Bing, and guitarist/vocalist Pipay, they have pushed their music to higher levels.

Last night Ephesus won the grand prize at the battle of the bands/fashion show held in Christ the King, organized by several groups in the parish. We’d like to first thank them (ponzi and Conrad alampay among the many) for the awesome job they did on the show, it was a huge success, and the venue was packed to the gills! It wasn't really the money that made an impact on us, (although P10,000 is NOT BAD AT ALL considering this is our first serious contest won as a band, and there was only 1 winner he he) but being in the presence of God and the friends (jiro, coyki, heather, sacha, rio, yas, carl, ponz, mika, tibbz) that were having a good time made us smile. The crowd was very receptive and rocked out with us, even the older members hahaha! I remember seeing one grandmother bobbing her head! We were especially shocked because the other bands that participated were really really good, and really young! The Filipino music scene it seems is going toUPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

the recording process has been a blast so far, working with the soundman eric perlas is really gonna pay off! more new pictures in the studio section of this group, showing rex and his CRUTCHES hahaha! some kid was yelling "pilay pilay pilay" on the street when we arrived at the studio! we just finished vocal trackings for a song last night, and as soon as some are mixed up and mastered we'll be posting them on our mp3 download websites! for now check out the clip of "kickflip romance" to get an idea of how things are developing!
