Enemy 1, better known as Rick to close friends and family , was born and raised in the scorhing hot city of El Paso. Passing each day with more and more determination, the Texan believes that his music will have a great impact on his fans as well as Hip Hop. The 24 yr old wasn't always the social type guy. In his school years, Enemy1 was actually the quiet one of his peers. Talking very little and analyzing the scene, he would sit back and pay more attention to members of other territorie's movements rather than his own education. Stabbed at 14, jumped numerous times on the streets, and targeted a few times by the foe, Enemy1 got caught in a drastic web of violence at such an early age. As you would imagine, years passed and situations got worse. The only escape from such rough times for the artist during this period of time was discovered in music. At 15 he learned that poetry was a form of art that he liked very much and good enough to want to write almost each day. Soon, he realized that his work was reciteable with favorite rap songs. Already a father at 18, reality strikes the young thug and hits hard. Hard enough to make the mc decide that Hip Hop is the only way out of the struggle for a person like him. Not only is it a career to put all effort into , he believes it is his destiny. His passion. 2006 arrives and instead of extending a fist to somebodys face, Enemy1 would rather reach out for a handshake to a fan. The pain , agression , and potential of his masterpieces can be heard on any of the tracks off his 1st solo album entitled: Defined In My Rhymes. "Musics always been a way to escape the bullshit in my life. It has always been the remedy for the pain inside me. Whether its Old School Nirvana or Metallica that I'm feeling at the moment, I'll turn it up. When I feel like beating some ass and if Tupac, Eminem, Game or whoever is bumpin, afterwards its going to make me feel alot better . Bottomline, music will always be there for you no matter what"

Enemy 1 and the rest of the StayTrue Family (Pimp-T & Tall Boy) have performed various times in their hometown in venues like Margarita's, Hiney's, Playa's Lounge, The Hip Hop Zone, Players Billiards, Club Medusa, Cohen Stadium, El Paso County Coliseum, El Paso Convention Center, etc... These performances include opening acts for big name artist such as B-Real, Chingo Bling, Marcus Houston, Lil Rob,etc.... Out of town tour scheduling is in the process, which isn't bad for the local mc considering that his album was just released in the streets at the end of May in 2006. This is just the beginnng of whats destined to happen, not only for the artist but for the music industry as well.
Of course I play live and I love doing it every single time. In my opinion, I think every artist should have concerts atleast once a week, especially local artist. All artist who have that passion for music will seek and accomplish their goals. My special moments happen every time I lay my hands on that mic and go to work.Theres nothing like getting on stage and expressing yourself to the world.
Every artist, especially those in the rap game, who stay true and real to their music. From big name artist to the underground artist.
Real recognize real.
I ain't gotta lie, pretty much anything thats affordable. That goes for on stage or in the studio.
I like using sure mics on stage though, they are durable and the quality sounds good.
This is my place in this world.
I am simply a messenger. Of God? Who knows. All I know is that my musics going to come across to everybody all over the world and they will Love me for it. Either they'll love me cause they love me or they'll love to hate me!
