ENCUENTROS is a musical play that combines theatrics with modern live music and choreography to create an art collage focused on one of the biggest problems of our times: AIDS.
The original concept was conceived and developed by HUNTY GABBE, honduran musician responsible for the music and lyrics of the whole play. He teamed up with DAMARIO REYES to create the visual images and drama sequences that compliment the 16 songs in the show. The music is dynamic and based in many universal rythms and styles like Rock, Blues, Jazz and Funk, and the lyrics and acting work tells the public about today's situation on AIDS in Honduras.
The main goals for this project are:
* To reach honduran young people with a warning and prevention message against AIDS.
* To offer a clear picture about risky situations that happen everyday in our country.
* To move to consideration about a careless sexual behavior and the risks it conveys for each individual involved.
* To motivate a change in personal behavior in order to reduce as much as posible the risk of AIDS infection.
ENCUENTROS es una obra musical que combina teatro y coreografía con música moderna en vivo para crear un collage artístico enfocado en uno de los más grandes problemas de nuestra era: el SIDA.
El concepto original fué concebido y desarrollado por el músico hondureño HUNTY GABBE, responsable de la música y letra de toda la obra. Trabajando en equipo con DAMARIO REYES han creado las imágenes visuales y secuencias dramatizadas que complementan las 16 canciones de el show. La música es dinámica y basada en ritmos y estilos universales como el Rock, Jazz, Blues y Funk, y las letras y la actuación informan al público sobre la situación actual del SIDA en Honduras.
Los principales objetivos de este trabajo son:
* Llevar a la juventud hondureña un mensaje de prevención contra el SIDA.
* Ofrecer un panorama claro sobre situaciones de riesgo que suceden a diario en nuestro país.
* Mover a reflexión sobre una conducta sexual imprudente y los riesgos que conlleva para cada individuo involucrado.
* Motivar un cambio de conducta para reducir al mínimo la posibilidad de un contagio de SIDA.Contact

I followed the link from the El Pop page...what a nice surprise! Wonderful songs, it´s a pity that they can´t be downloaded.
Your work related to SIDA deserves a lot of praise. I had already listened to "Ella"..."Sonia" is a beautiful song! "Hay Que Esperar" is also very nice...
Please make these songs available for download, they deserve to be shown in every country!
