Elevated Statez
I'm Elevated Statez, hip-hop artist, part of the On Site Family.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
It started out I found this old rap board that was all text, and I read it and I tried it... and I sucked, then I found MSN rap chatrooms and started keystylin and doin my thing in there. Then yahoo freestyle rooms, just listenin in there mostly. Eventually I stumbled upon the HHT (hiphop technicz) and thats when I really started elevating, getting to know wordplay and metas, multies, all that sh**. I still wasn't good, then Jay Ro found me and taught me, thats when I elevated the most, and thats when I met Tetrarue and Huztlaz Greed. Huztlaz Greed founded OS Fam, and then here I am now. All in all its only been a year and half since I started. Some say I'm good, others say I suck, and other just don't care... I'll let you judge.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
No, I'm just netcee... I freestyle and all that around friends, and play their tracks, but I don't play live and I don't expect too unless the OS Fam meets up someday... then I'll do it.
Your musical influences
Well, first there's Jay Ro, he actually taught me to rap... but before him, I wanted to have a style like bone thugs because they were my favorite group. Now I just try to do my own thing, get my own style and everything. I'll still experiment with other types of styles though, and I prefer a faster style but cats say I sound rushed... so I guess I'm not the next Twista.
