Coby Jay is just me and guitar. Music in it's purest form. I don't necessarily have a musical direction. To me, just to be able to create any kind of music and share it with the world is undescribible.
Much of my attitude toward music is derived by my discovery of Jack Johnson. Up until about a year ago, I had never owned an acoustic guitar. Then I heard Jack. It is amazing how much one person's music can affect you. If you haven't heard of Jack, check him out.

I started playing the geetar at about 15. I learned three chords from my mom and the rest was all on me. Now, at 22 I own 6 guitars and have had multiple offers to be in bands. I have been in two bands (in the late nineties). We played a lot of alternative tunes and then I got into the whole nu metal thing. Now, all I really listen to is chill music.Have you performed in front of an audience?Not as far as concerts go. Mostly just for friends and family.
