Fimbulvetr Fimbulvetr

A song about Ragnarok - the Norse version of Armageddon. Many people have said it sounds rather 'Jethro Tull'. I'd love to hear a heavy metal band do a cover.

If I Was a Viking If I Was a Viking

Some nonsense that fell out of my head one afternoon. A half dozen cliches about Norse culture set to music.

Misha Misha

I wrote this silly ballad about my friend Mikhail Kazimirovitch Pomeshanov. So the guy snores a little. Give 'im a break. He's a nice enough fellow.

What do you get when you combine Tom Leher, Dougie Maclean, Wierd-Al Yankovic, James Taylor, Spike Jones, John Denver, Jethro Tull, Monty Python, Fairport Convention, and Daffy Duck with a mild mannered minstrel in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA)? Answer: me.
Band/artist history
I started writing and playing music in 1989. I've released 4 independant CDs, and a half dozen or so home-made tapes. Mostly I perform for the local Renaissance Faire and SCA events like the Pennsic War.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes. I mostly play around campfires, renaissance faires, and SCA events. Sometimes I even do real medieval music for schools and library programs. I've started doing some Harry Potter inspired "Wizard Rock" under the name "The Blibbering Humdingers".
What equipment do you use?
I play guitar, recorders, flutes, bodhran, some keyboards, and a variety of weird toys. These days I record on my Mac with Garage Band.
