Efaistos is a hardcore metal groupe hailing from La Pocatiere in the lower St-Laurent region. All songs composed by Efaistos are in french where in a metal world this language is side stepped by english music. That's why they have given themselves as a goal to promote the french language throughout their music and their ideas.
The band is composed of Dave Parent(Vocals), Patrick Desjardins (Guitar), Marc-André Vachon (Guitar) Kaven St-Pierre (Bass) and Nicholas Bernier (Drums). Efaistos officialy began playing on august the 18th 2001 and is still active. From the start, they have concentrated themselves on their compositions and played their first show november 4th 2001. Since, Efaistos has participated in more than 50 venues all across Quebec with names such as MarionetX, GFK, Akuma, Tagada Jones, Arseniq 33, Dook, Hymn From Above, Overbass, Divinity, Blinded By Faith, Haang Upps, Crest Of Honor, Vortex, Amnesia, Unexpect, Sordid and Memorium. They have played in places such as le Kahmir, LArlequin, Les Foufounes Électriques, le Dagobert, le Café St-Louis et le Café Théâtre Côté-Cour.
To this day, Efaistos has their own production company (Nemesis Production). They have decided to lauch this project to promote the hard core scene in the region and all across the province, which proves their engagement for the general scene overall. Also, they have also lauched their first EP titled "Cri de Naissance" compiling 6 original and crazy Efaistos songs.
They have also participated in some compilations; Nemesis Fest Vol.1 et la compilation The Heard voluime 2 just to name a few. More projects are still to come like a new album, a second compilation to promote Nemesis Production activities.
