The term “Bipolar†refers to having two opposites or contradictory ideas or nature.
Born in Waukegan and raised in Zion, Illinois, Eddie “Eddo†Mckennie always appreciated music. For example, the late works of the late rap legends Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. He also pays homage to the likes of Mary J. Blidge, Dr. Dre, Earth, Wind and Fire, Michael Jackson, Al Green, Kanye West, Twista, and R. Kelly, which inspired him to create a sound that is unique.
A former athlete, the biggest competition to football for Eddo was his music. Having the opportunity to play overseas in the German Football League, he never forgot his love to write and perform music.
As a Regional Promotions Director for Brassknuckles Entertainment, Eddo branched out from behind the scenes of writing music to the forefront of the industry, performing and perfecting his craft. With performances at the Cove in Gurnee, Ill, Longsing in Waukegan, Ill, and Club Texture in Milwaukee, Wi. Eddo has been on the grind trying to make a name for himself in the music business.
While his debut album “Bipolar†captures the essence of his diversity and self image, he exudes a combination of old school meets new school. He delivers a sound that any age can relate to. Eddo will keep you wondering, what’s next? Midwest Stand Up!
