Have you performed in front of an audience?
Not right now, but when that happens it'll be under my rap alias D-Vex.
Your musical influences
My biggest influence is Bone thugs n harmony. That's evident when I rap and that's what my beats are taylored to. But I'm also influenced by Nas and 2Pac, two of the greatest lyricists EVER and also by DMX. As far as beats go I like DJ-Uneek, Swizz Beats, The Neptunes, and Dr. Dre.
What equipment do you use?
I use different software to make my beats, mainly one called TU2 to generate my sounds and then I mix using Internet Audio Mix. I also use Acoustica for sound editing and occasionally I'll use a loop based program like Hip-Hop Ejay, but that's rare. I like my beats to be completely original.
Anything else?
One statement I gotta make is hip-hop is headed entirely in the wrong direction. It's becoming hip-pop. From Nelly to Ja-Rule the industry is feeding us these bubble gum rappers and I'm sick of it! The only commercial acts that are any good right now are Eminem and 50 but all these other cats gotta go. So turn off ya radios and get down with the Online Revolution!!!!!!
