Duey Grumble is a four piece rock outfit co-located in Erie and Pittsburgh, PA. Our original material has been described as groove-heavy rock that's been well-grounded in a bluesy, driving sound. We'd best be described as a mixture of Soundgarden and King's X, with a little bit of Goo Goo Dolls thrown in there (if you can imagine that).

Chris and Jeff have been playing in bands together since high school. They started their musical careers playing mainly covers and a few originals in the band "Acid Rain", which later morphed into "Krystal Reign". Halfway through college, when Krystal Reign had run out of gas, a new band, "Breakpoint" was formed, which consisted of Chris, Jeff, and three of Jeff's classmates at Gannon. Breakpoint had a few original songs, but played mostly classic rock and grunge. They played regularly at Gannon University functions in Erie during 1993-1994, but went their separate ways after graduation in 1994. Chris and Jeff were determined to continue on with their musical endeavors, however. Dan and Mark were soon contacted through mutual friends and the nucleus of Duey Grumble featuring all four members was formed in the summer of 1994. At that time we played and recorded under the name "Elusion", and became semi-regulars on the bar circuit in Erie. Our setlist was a mixture of classic rock and 90's-era rock, with a few originals throw in: "His Time", "Dignity", and the occasional "Blues Jam". We went our separate ways as bandmates in 1996, only to reunite again in the fall of 2002 under the name "Duey Grumble". Currently we are writing new material and have been slowly putting the songs into our live setlist.Have you performed in front of an audience?We do play live occasionally, but we've spent most of our time the last 6 months in the studio writing new material.
Your musical influences
Our influences vary a great deal. Some of us are more straight-ahead rockers with an 80's hair band influence. Others like more modern rockers such as Matchbox Twenty, Goo Goo Dolls, and Third Eye Blind. Others like a more progressive rock sound such as Rush, Yes, Dream Theater, and King's X.Anything else?
