Experimental

This band technically started when Chris, Jesse and Matt all decided to make a band. Not thinking of just making an acoustic band, they asked fellow friends to join, making a band of 6. For 3 months the band was nothing, they never practiced, there was hidden turmoil through out the band, conflicts spread because of different interests in music and so on. In the end on January 4th, 2007, at 7:00p.m, the co-founders of Drowning Of Ophelia seperated the band, deciding it would be an easier process of practices and band meetings if it was a smaller group. Chris, Matt and Jesse dreamed of a band that would be able to practice, making it more simple to do what they love to do, which is play their instruments. Matt, Chris and Jesse were spending time at Chris', when drama struck, Kate was mad at Chris and Matt and Jesse just decided to cheer him up by making an acoustic song, making them write their first song To Say Good-Bye. They were all wondering what was to happen to their true band... finally, with a hard decision, but a mutual one, the three decided to leave Drowning Of Ophelia behind, taking the name (that Jesse and Matt thought of) with them. They knew it was the right decision, even though they knew that a few people would be hurt in the process. They all were quite satisfied with the outcome of their first song, but they were still pondering the fact of a new band. Finally, with the help of their faithful friend Will; Matt, Chris and Jesse decided to make a myspace account, to see what people thought of their music. They loved to simply write music that had a beautiful and slow melody, with stabbing lyrics and soothing it out with a beautiful harmony, and that's what Drowning Of Ophelia tries to sound like, or does, it's not up to us to say. But we are ever thankful for our faithful friends, who always believed in us and that will always stick by us no matter what. We are excited to see our fanbase quickly growing and we could not be happier with the people in our lives. Thank you to all of our faithful and adoring fans. A special shout out to Tanner, Will and Noodles, who were the first to fall in love, comment upon and support this band.

Thank you all,

-Drowning Of Ophelia
