Acoustic Rock

Proving less is more, Nashville's drew creates big new sounds with classic instrumentation.

Drew was born a poor cover band in South Carolina. After a year of getting nowhere, drummer Steve Dick moved to Nashville, TN, followed by Wayne Neal two years later. The two began an immediate search for others who shared their desire to create music that moved them, rather than moved to the latest trend. Enter Scotty Hooper, who, supplying vocals and bass, completed the three piece now known as Drew.

Combining everyone they love, from The Police to Stone Temple Pilots, from Peter Gabriel to Foo Fighters, Drew has created something uniquely their own, simultaneously modern and timeless. The songs are “pristine, introspective and outspoken”, slathered with a hint of dry wit. With a six-song EP set for a Fall 2004 release, Drew’s future appears to be quite bright.

Have you performed in front of an audience?

But of course...all around the southeast and midwest

We once fatally pissed off a band that's now on the verge of making it.---"So you're using a session drummer because your regular drummer sucks?"..."I wouldn't say he sucks. He's my brother."

Your musical influences

The Police, Peter Gabriel, Pink Floyd, Sound Garden
