Band/artist history
I started in hip-hop in 2000. I've been working on my style and delivery since. I'm going straight to the top from here.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Working on getting some gigs set up at the moment, but yeah, I've performed live before. I love it.
Your musical influences
I've got a unique flow, I just do what I do. I draw from a huge base of influences... but I was told I sound like a combination of Eminem and Method Man. I'm a big fan of Rakim, Dr. Dre, KRS-1, Snoop Dogg, and pretty much all genres of music.
What equipment do you use?
Check out www.DrewKingMusic.com and click on "Studio" to see a list of equipment. Edited, mixed and mastered by yours truly. I couldn't afford studio time, so I built my own. Seriously. With 2x4's and foam. Beats credited to a variety of SoundClick producers (listed with each song).
Anything else?
I've come to reshape hip-hop to the way it should be, the way it used to be, before over-commercialization and dumbing down to the masses. It's time for some REAL music. Check out the FREE downloadable tracks from my demo, "This Is Hip-Hop".
