California based hip-hop rapper out of Sacramento, has put his fans, friends, haters, and people in aw! How does Dre D-Z’s lyricial status come up so quick, after being known as a “square” or “pussy”. Maybe because his creativity and sense of humor shows in his tracks. Such tracks known as “GO 2 SLEEP” or “NU COLOGNE” has shown us, talking about going to sleep or buying clothing, can also please the crowd quite nicey. Dre D-Z is a commercial/mainstream/radio rapper and does not ever deny it and stays proud in his work. Instead of your typical “rapper”, Andre (Dre D-Z) was born in Hayward and rasied in Sacramento. Throughout the years of childhood, he went through his parents divorce, and moving constantly wit his relatives from Fremont, California to the Bay Area. He went to a middle school named John Muir, where he met two fellow friends; James and Segun. James in the 6th and Segun being in the 7th grade, he met James through Segun. During that period, they become friends very well and was hanging out at lunch tables and the library freestyling where ever they could. Segun had thought about us becoming a group, though he came up wit UFB (Universal Flowin Brothaz), Andre and James were “iffy” but we stuck with it. They eventually practiced and practiced, and performed at San Fransico 3rd Street Feastival twice in 2 years, at the San Leandro Cherry Feastival, and both night and day performance at John Muir Middle School’s “Talent Show”. The group sooner or later departed, but remained best friends. Dre D-Z had the heart and kept at his talent and is boosting it every second he gets. From a “fat boy” Andre had hard times with girls and being with the “in-crowd”. Dre D-Z has now fully acieve his part in his life, where rapping begins as a career instead of a hobbie. He's workin on his new mixtape "NAPTIME" and it will be 10 times better then the first. He may not have lots of money or fancy material things right now. But if Dre D-Z makes you laugh throughout his music, then he has done his goal as a rapper (is to make u smile and laugh). DTP is somewhere he wants to be, then evenually meet his idol Ludacris. With over thousands and thousands of air-play through soundclick.com, and thousands of downloaded music his fans have, he is known soon to rise. He never was raised in the "hood" or "ghetto" so all of his lyrics are mainly real or jokes and trys to put a smile on ur face. Keeping his respect and love for the music of hip-hop, he began makin his own songs and started to record his own music (as he does now) at his home. Not having money for the studio, Dre D-Z works at his best and keeps his dream alive until one day he meets Ludacris, or gets signed with DTP.
