Don't Let Go Don't Let Go
This ones heavy on the acoustic guitar - I was going for a big, wide sound...
Used to be in bands, now I have kids instead :-) These tunes are pretty much studio tunes, although very much in the style of stuff a band could do... I try to stay true to instrument placement, part complexity etc....Band/artist history
Already burbled about this in some other comments in here...Have you performed in front of an audience?I have played live, and I much prefer it over studio work. The first take is the only take - there's something amazing about that experience. There's just too much time to second guess and post process in the studio, takes away from the sheer musical enjoyment of it. There's also too much of a "sonic fingerprint" from one person making all of the decisions - it's hard to find real variety in your sound...
Your musical influences
Eagles, Creedence, Doobies, Clint Black, George Strait, Garth Brooks, ZZ Top, Nazareth, John Pizarelli, Allison Krauss, Dan Seals, Lee Ritenour, Eric Clapton... major influence over time from top 40 country, classic rock, and later from blues, jazz, alternative rock & country....What equipment do you use?
Lots of guitars, every one different.... I need more bass guitars. I have a banjo too, and would like to get a mandolin. Anything with strings....
My main recording setup is Cubase running on two old Yamaha DS2416 cards (which I love, latency or not). Outside I have a rack full of various stuff. Biggest contributors are the Boss GX700, Korg X5DR, and an old Alesis D4, but with VST, that's starting to change too....Anything else?
Had a hell of a time categorizing my music in here, because I record all sorts of different musical feels. A song will inspire me, and I'll dive into that genre for a tune, even though it's not core to my musical background. I'll probably end up with more than one band setup in here because I can't really post grunge into a country and western band setup, now can I?Contact

Shalom Dennis, ?
i don't believe i would have found your music, if it hadn't been for your comment on "Writing from the Heart". i hope the name is right, for i hate speaking peace to the dragon. "Father Time", is a real nice reflection, of time, as observed in the mirror, of time. faith, hope, charity, the greatest charity (love). wonderful song, hot. did you leave town & did you grow old. time passes so fast, illusive time, kinda like hope. your music is tops. keep up the good work. thanks for standing up. years ago, i use to have a rapid heart, but no more, i have a Word. check out the Word in the song on my click, "psalm 91_'Angels Charge". u might even hear the word dragon.
b well Peace a ROCK
Your 3 songs are all hot. Keep them coming. If you ever perform in Sudbury, let me know
Clem
Oh yeah, you have a super good voice.
Father time makes me think about cat stevens a bit. I really like it. It has a cool 70's sound, and I'd wish to re-create it like you do. Good luck in the future!
Hi Dragon. Thanks for posting in the song review thread.I thought it had died there for a while.LOL
