Downriver is a collective of people from Michigan and Massachusetts...However, at the moment the driving forces behind the band are Juan Florencia, Chris Sweetapple, Quentin Lewis and Angela Labrador. Other members include Boone Shear and Mark Gjukich.

The band has taken many different forms over the years but began roughly in the year 1995.
