Missing You Missing You
Early recording of this tune, Laurel Mill CD contains an updated recording

Doug Young's debut CD, Laurel Mill, features original tunes and arrangements for solo acoustic instrumental guitar. Reviews say: "The guitar work is superb...", "one of the best self-produced initial efforts I have come across", "you'll feel as if you're enjoying a private performance"
Band/artist history
I've played guitar since I was a teenager. Rock and jazz at first, mostly in bands. Now I enjoy making music that I can produce entirely by myself, solo acoustic compositions and arrangements.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I try to play as often as I can in the Bay Area. I host a regular monthly show at Mission City Coffee Roasting Company, and have been joined by Teja Gerken, Steve Baughman, Thomas Leeb, Neil Hogan, and many more.
Your musical influences
Anyone who plays acoustic fingerstyle guitar. I've learned from Laurence Juber, Alex de Grassi, John Renbourn, Pat Kirtley, Stephen Bennett, and many more.
What equipment do you use?
I especially enjoy playing guitars made by individual luthiers. I can usually be found playing my Kevin Ryan, Kathy Wingert , or Ed Claxton guitars.

Fantastic music, Doug. Just added both your cuts to my station!
You're in a different league than I am, but if you're ever interested in getting tracks like upright bass, brush drums, or piano, just let me know.
wow.. beautiful guitar playing
Hello and hope all is going well with you. Its been fun visiting your page. I'd love if you come visit our page. I was part of an R&B group on campus before I tried out one song on the acoustic guitar with a friend and I just fell in love with it. It was incredible...you guys don't understand what you have...Pls when you get the chance check out "see it in your eyes" and "take some time" Just asking for your opinion because this is a foreign land for me and my boys. Thanks for your music and God bless.
Hi Doug, just visited your website. Very impressive fingerstyle you have developed. I saw that you have attended some of the better workshops. I wish I had maintained reading music. I also see you live in Cali. If ever in the Santa Barbara area, drop me an email. I'l love to put together a show with you
Andrew
Missing you is absolutley awe inspiring. Very dreamy , a truly beautiful piece. it shows just what can be done with a bit of wood and some steel strings! Keep it up!
