Band/artist history
Ok....this story starts a long time ago back in elementary school when Jason and Jon met. They met in Kindergarten and have been playing music together practically ever since. One fateful day way back God knows when, Jason's cousin, Lisa, met a boy named Ben Estes. They got together and soon Lisa got Ben, Jason and Jon together and they started playing in a band called Area 51 with a guy named Kelly Kombol on drums. That was cool, but not cool enough for them. They wanted more, they wanted a horn section. So, they picked up a trombone player, Doug, a trumpet player, Chris, an alto sax player, Merv, and a tenor sax player, Joe. They played a few shows but then it tas time for Kelly to go his own way, so then they picked up Tim. Soon after that, Merv started his own little adventure and they were down to 7 members. They got ambitious and decided to record a CD. They practiced and practiced and then got another trombone player, Tony. They went into the studio and recorded their first 8 song EP, "More of Me...Less of You". It was a hit and they then started playing in bars, and other venues across the cities of Eugene and Springfeild. They got into a local battle of the bands called "Sonic X-plosion" that started them off on a really good path. Then....tragedy struck. The Thurston shooting affected the band directly because not only did 3 members of the band go there, one of them was seriously injured in the incident. Tony Case was shot four times. The band rallied around his and their friends recovery. They pulled together and put on a benefit concert with 5 other local bands. It was a big success and they went on to play more shows. They didn't make it far in the battle of the bands, but they didn't care. They had their own goals and they didn't need a battle of the bands to give that to them. Tim went his own way and they picked up a new drummer, Ronnie. They went strong for months it seemed like and then they decided to take a break. Around that time, Chris decided to go on his own way (we know what really happened!) and we picked up Taylor and he is our new trumpet player. He rocks! During that break, Ben auditioned for the band "The Varicoasters" (another local ska band)and he got in. The bands future looked bleak...but, there is a new force drinving this band. The summer of 99 was spent working on a new album, Full length this time. It was released, and fairly succesful. People seemed to like it. But soon after it was released, Ronnie, Ben, and Joe, Left the group. We were without a drummer, lead singer/guitarist, and a sax player. But now, we have a new drummer, Zac. And a new singer/guitarist, Connor. And we're doing great, we just recorded 5 new songs. Check em out!
