What do you do with a washed up child pianist and a computer nerd with a sharp mind for business? The obvious answer for some might be to form a pop band and release an independent demo. Enter DOMINOfresh, the product of JR Bucher and Andrew Schoultis, two small town guys with an offbeat sense of humor and a love for music. The duo first got their musical start by recording a few second-rate hip-hop tracks in Bucher’s attic. However, they soon came to the conclusion that rapping was not one of their strong points and left the hip-hop scene behind. Not long after their brief rap stint, JR and Andrew met up with Seth Barker and formed the short-lived Williams Society. After recording only one song, the group disbanded due to a mutual lack of interest from all three parties. It would be almost a full year before Andrew and JR would once again try their hand at music.

Fast forward to November 2003, the two meet in JR’s attic once again to write a few songs for their own amusement. Little did they know that the response they would get from these seemingly insignificant melodies would lead them to reconsider their motives and record what would be their first independently produced demo. Andrew and JR, now working under the alias of DOMINOfresh, began recording their self-titled demo in February of 2004.
