Born and Raised in Jamaica

Stephano was born in Jamaica on October 11, 1984. At the age of five, he came to live with his father in Canada. Stephano always had a love for music, and being born into a family of musicians, this love for music was fostered and supported. A few of his uncles and cousins in Jamaica are current reggae artists and Djs, working well known artists such as Vybez Kartel and Ricky General.
Stephano’s love for music soon transitioned into a growing interest in the entertainment business. He enrolled in the Toronto Film School, where he studied Entertainment Business Management and Film Production. While in school, Stephano, along with a group of long time friends, started Corporate Streetz, a company that promotes and supports new and upcoming artists in the Underground music scene. Taking what he learned in school and networking with other names in the business, Stephano returned to his love of lyrics and recording and started work on his album. “Welcome to the 416” was one of his first recordings where he not only wrote his lyrics but also created the entire beat. As well, he has also recorded tracks with Ricky General while visiting family in Jamaica. His diligence to pursue his career in the music industry opened doors for him. He has currently signed a contract with the underground Indie label, M-Tribe. He records tracks on a regular basis in their studio, all while giving other artists an outlet to create and record music as well. His album is set to be released in the Summer of 2009.
Some of Stephano’s musical influences are Biggy Smalls, Big L, The Clipse, Mobb Deep, Nas, Lost Boys, Wu Tang Clan, Vibes Kartel, Beenie Man, Merciless, and Bob Marley.
