So I was just driving along Lehigh st. here in Allentown, when at exactly 4:13pm I see Sherrie the Prostitard walking along ranting to herself. Let me tell you all about her.
My parents divorced when I was 9 years old in 1982. Soon after, my dad hooked up with the woman who would become my stepmother. This woman had some retards in her family. One day we (my sister and I) were told that one of them, Sherrie, would be coming to live with us for a while. We weren't thrilled with the idea, having dealt with other retards in our inner-city public school. Anyway, Sherrie comes to live with us and it sucks. She wasn't the screaming, totally out-of-it kind, she was the fucked-up-clever-at-times kind. 17 years old and in 6th grade. When she talked, she sounded like some fucked-up, dying seal. "Ort eet at oot ut!", she would often proclaim. She also had 4 or 5 rows of teeth on top and bottom, was tall and lanky, wierd curly pubic-looking hair, and she kept her eyes shut most of the time. She used to pull all kinds of shit to get us in trouble, and eventually, in a search for money we were all pretty sure she stole, we pulled up the floorboards in her closet to find over $100, single shoes we all had lost, dead toads, a carton of rancid milk, about 30 of my Star Wars guys, and some porno mags.
After a bit of time, we became sick of this retard and her shit. My sister and I made up games to play with Sherrie. Money Trading: we gave her our "cold, hard cash" (change) for "worthless paper" (the bills). Spit in Sherrie's Mouth: this one was actually her idea, my sister and I would climb up a tree and try to spit in Sherrie's open mouth at the bottom. Ghost: Sherrie puts a fitted sheet over her head and goes "ooooo, I'm a ghost!" while we throw shoes at her. Man, the list could go on and on.
Eventually, even our parents could no longer deal with her, and she went on her way, to live with some other relative. Occasionally we would see her at family gatherings at christmas or thanksgiving, 4th of july, etc... After a while, she ran away from the place she was staying and became a prostitute, living on the streets. Now, don't get me wrong, a LOT of people tried to help her out and set her straight, but to no avail. To this day she remains Sherrie the Prostitard, her only link to the past being when somebody drives past her screaming "Ort eet at oot ut!" out of their window, laughing hysterically.Have you performed in front of an audience?Some of this music has been performed live. Alexander's, New Jerusalem, PA. Of course we like it. Special moments? Hehe.
