Doctor and Matey have a special relationship which began one rainy night.
The town of Larroon was a dark place. No laughter and no light. To Doctor it was home. Doctor is a quiet being who's age is not known. He has not spoken to another creature since he came to Larroon and no one knows or particularly cares why. For freindship is not a word used often in Larroon and that is the way they would like it kept.
Walking home, by mount Larroon, Doctor notice a small creature abandoned with no food or drink and without the strength to fend for himself. Doctor with his heart of stone walked by without a second glance. The next day doctor saw the same creature a little further along the rocky path. Still doctor walked on by. Weeks and weeks go on and each time the little creature is further along the path, but doctor walks on. Finally after 4 & 8 weeks, doctor reaches home and the creature is on the steep ramp down to his cavern. "arrribbbaabaa" pipes up the little creature. And with these words the stone heart of doctor heats and doctor speaks with a deep bellowing voice not heard for decades. "Hello Little Fella." Knowing he must be hungry, Doctor brings in the little mite out of the cold and feeds him. "Now whats your name?" doctor ponders. "You will be known as 'Matey'." That day the doctor matey foundations were built and upon them grew a dynasty of adventures and exciting tales but thats a different story. Now go to sleep matey, See you in the evening. Two music demons not of this world who were placed on the earth for one thing only... to make music. They consist of doctor and matey. Who between them are incapable of putting even the most simplistic of sentences down on paper and yet can perform, write and produce music of such complexety and grace. the doctor is very serious and takes his music even more seriously, he is the boss of matey. matey is small and quiet with more than a touch of eccentricity. together they make the unstoppable formula that is "doctor matey".
