This is my personal hip hop page, but as a group, Urbane makes a wide array of music. I usually linger in the melodic side of the music spectrum (i.e. RnB, trance, etc). My partner makes the grimey, dark and technical music. Combined, our skill sets are very broad and we make music simply for the love of it. "There isn't as much potential for financial rewards as in pop music. But, there is the potential satisfaction that one had lived an uncompromising life of art in having created the music that one wanted to make unencumbered artistically by the demands of consumerist tastes." - Ken Ueda
Band/artist history
I have known Wreak since highschool. I used to rap and that's how we started. Then, I started producing which is just another method of me expressing myself and telling a story; this time non-verbally. We both produce and make music, and we are both good friends; we had to collab--Urbane was born. Our goal is to provide music service to aspiring artists-- make beats, record, etc.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Unfortunately, no. I cannot play live alone; my partner is the DJ. We would love to spin some original electro at a club one day.
Your musical influences
90s West coast hip hop, G Funk, Acid Jazz, Jazz, Trip Hop (DJ Krush), Rock, Heavy Metal, Classical, Trance, House (Trouse), Dubstep/Chillstep, DnB...the list goes on.
What equipment do you use?
Computer. Cubase primarily...amongst other things.
Anything else?
