Near the end of 2007 a few guys had the idea to start a metal/hardcore band. Soon the line-up was complete and consist of 4 members. After a while the 4 decided to call the band Defeat Lies Ahead in short: DLA! This is where it all started.. The style of DLA can be described as metal / hardcore, but DLA combine the music with others styles as well. Our biggest influence are all the wrong things this world brings us , Such as: Hate, violence, Betrayal and many more. Each member of the band has his own background in music. Denski ( Neurotic, Drain life , S.O.P. ) Marcello ( Mori Beatdown ) Mike ( Avoid the words, Stagnant, Carmine, WARF , Eyes down, Dodge this ) All these experiences contributes to the unique sounds we create with DLA. At this point with a brutal and explosive set we already destroyed stages in Holland with several bands such as, Detox, Pound, Virtually Nothing, Bound in blood, Settle The Score, Arkangel and many more. But its not enough, more songs are being written and it will be even more brutal and heavier! So keep your eyes open! D.L.A are Mike : Vocals Dennis : Guitar ..
