it is difficult to pinpoint a starting point. i have always been passionate about music, playing various instruments, compiling tracks for friends and school functions. i guess i started using djsquelch around 1994 and phase shifts around 2004, however i know i have dj'ed and produced long before choosing either name. prior to these names, i had not gone by any stage/pen name.Have you performed in front of an audience?i have played live at various venues and broadcast online. there are very few things i enjoy more than the feeling of generating a positive feeling for people listening to my work. my favorite moments would include when people approach me and tell me how much they have enjoyed my work. it makes everything worthwhile.

electronic dance music is my heart and soul. i find i am influenced by the following: ambient, downtempo, lounge, idm, acid, minimal, trance, house, jungle, dnb, hardcore, happy hardcore, gabber, industrial, avantgarde, experimental, acid jazz, dub, reggae, turntablism, jazz, disco, rock, spoken word, and sound i hear- whether its from a movie, tv, game, outside... everything i hear influences me.What equipment do you use?
mac and pc, a host of software, several instruments, and various dj equipment. hey, a cook doesnt reveal his recipe! ;)Anything else?
aside from mixing, remixing, and production, i occasionally like to collaborate on projects with others. other than that, i love making friends and acquaintances.
