Winter on the Boardwalk Winter on the Boardwalk

A bit of genre hopping here... I went to the beach close to where I live while listening to Enigma. It was very cold and gloomy, and I got inspired. This is what I came up with...

Ambient

I started a few years ago with a small demo program on my pc at the same time a friend of mine got hold of a twin cd deck (Denon) and we started "ripping up the (cd)decks". My love for the whole music thing developed and here I am!!
Band/artist history
Like I previously said, I started a few years ago. My first track ever uploaded on E-Jay was Nova! It pretty much sucked bigtime, but I was proud of it. I can still, when I listen to the tracks I produced, from the earliest to the latest, hear the evolution and technical changes in the production of them. The learning curve is starting to plane out now, and a reasonable level of maturity is evident in my music now.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I did a few times, but in South Africa it is very difficult to make a good living on the decks. I'm an accountant by trade and a musician by heart!
Your musical influences
Anything European. My first real idol in my field was DJ Bobo and later on Sash. Milk Inc. used to be a huge fave of mine as well. I'm pretty much of the same stable, trying to produce tracks that is worth dancing to, but doesn't drain you mentally!
What equipment do you use?
PC, Acid Pro, ProDJ, Soundengine, Fruity and E-Jay, as well as Goldwave!
Anything else?
A strong will and as strong a will as mine in the people I work with!
