Whats up its ya boi DJ FATALITY commin out of North Little Rock Arkansas. I am part of a group called THE 4X4 CREW. I do production, mixing and chop and screw.Band/artist history
This is my second year of producing and djing.
DJ-ing
It all started when I moved to Arkansas from Santa Ana, Ca. and heard my first Chopped and Screwed Swisha House CD that my friend tTim had. I was like "Man! what the hell is this and where can I find some more?" I was really taken taken back but how simply slowing down a song and having one play after the other created a totally different song.
So having heard this and wanting to learn more and imitate I went on to find different types of programs and eventually getting my first set of CD decks. I then set my mind towards knowing that this is what I want to do as career.
BEATS
Making beats was always in the back of my mind. I would always think " Wow! If could DJ a party and by playing my own music along with other signed artist I would have the party on lock! So I started listening to more than just the hook of songs on the radio. I listened to the arrangement of insturments and how beats flowed. Around this time Kanye West had hit the music scene with "Through the Wire" and I was blown away by sample beats or what he called "Soul Beats" Once again I was off to imitate another person in order to create my own style. I'm still look for my own niche day by day as I prodress.Have you performed in front of an audience?I have had a chance do do any live spots with THE 4x4 CREW but we have parties, promos and mix CD's.

My favorite djs are kid Kapri, Green Lantern, Enuff, Vlad, JMJ(RIP), Screw(RIP), Michael Watts, O.G. Ron C. ,Yella Boy and many others.
My favorite Producers are: Kanye West, Just Blaze, The Neptunes, Jazzy Pha, Mannie Fresh, Scott Storch, Lil Jon, The Alchemist, Missy Elliot and many othersWhat equipment do you use?
