Evan Munro aka DJ Evolve got involved with music about 5 years ago when he started DJin, like most of us, at weddings and private parties. What "evolved" from there has now become "truly amazing".
From there he went to WINK 96.9 and 97.7 The Point and then onto Hip-Hop stations. "To be honest with you, hip-hop is really my calling. I mean it's the best type of music to express yourself and really get your feelings into the music".
In 2000 Evan officially signed on as a CEO for IG Recordz heading up the Southern US Division.
Last summer he toured the US on the UNITY Re-Mix Tour DJin in several cities and clubs across the US and for 2 weeks in Europe.
In August of 2002 Evan relocated his studio to the Daytona Beach, FL area. He now hails from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he's earning his Broadcast Communications and Air Traffic Control degrees.
"I really wanted to have some back up plans, my ultimate goal is to be successful in what ever I do. Buy based on the way things are going these days, I wanted to have something to fall back on. Since I love music and video production it wasn't hard. And since I love flying I decided to choose Embry-Riddle."
In Daytona Beach, IG Recordz Southern Studio has produced 5 new artists and helped to promote dozens more. With the record industry on the rise IG Recordz shows a promising future. "I think the thing that makes us really stand out is we're not all about the hoes and having a hummer. I really have a love for house, trance, club, jazz and hip hop. I know a wierd mix of musics but they all really fit my style. Typcially I play house when I DJ on tour however Hip Hop has always been a way for me to get my thoughts and feelings out into the world...
