When that youre yearning for is a much needed dose of spell-binding and trippy music beat, DJs At Work(x) should easily come in order. Fueled by the passion of creating music out of the conventional and driven by technology has what made the DJs At Work(x) push their way together in embracing the electronic music.
Composed of DJs Elvin San Juan, Lord Sid Valera and Juvalle Tinao, DJs At Work(x) was formed in May 2003. All three of them took Computer Science as their chosen course back in college which unintentionally became an advantage for them to easily learn software and sound manipulation the basic technical skills to put together a tune.
Among the bands influences are Groove Armada and the prominent house music production/remix team Masters At Work (hence, their name), a.k.a. Little Louie Vega and Kenny Dope Gonzalez.
Of all of them, DJ Elvin is probably the most experienced and exposed in the electronic music scene. Having been a DJ for almost 14 years now, he has been professionally remixing since 1998 and used to be one of the Top Remixers for Dance Mix. Among his works are remixes of Madonnas Ill Remember and What Feels for a Girl and Paula Abduls Rush. He also has his own studio where he composes, arranges and produces tracks. He is also a Digidesign and Sound Forge pioneer.
Soon, DJs At Work(x) will release their very first album aptly entitled Our First Voyage which features hypnotic, electronic and tribal sonic tunes and rhythms. Never succumbing to the mainstream pit, theirs is a collection of 11 original tracks including Underwater and "Sunset.
They have yet to conquer the popular gig sites in the metro because they want to concentrate more on finishing their maiden project. But of course, it wont be long that they will eventually reach out their music to those who are willing to, moreover to those who want something else.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes
