DJ Come of Age is an inspiration to the unheralded independents across the globe. With a mixing style poised to grasp the ears of soul enthusiasts, he crafts mixes that are the delight of fans worldwide. As a DJ, Come of Age has to move the crowd. One element that separates him from commercial jocks is that of finding aspiring talent. "For me it is rather simple. I play what touches my soul. It's a vibe session for me. When I hear a song I'm passionate about, it makes me want to share with others. I began reaching out to people that share my same vision, my same drive, my vibe. Ultimately it was easier to work with the independent artists. People like Menoosha, DJ Tobi-Wan, Semokee, the Brass King, and others. I know if I am feelin' their unique styles, others will do the same."
Despite the continued success COA remains humble. He realized that there are many markets to be reached and it's important that solid relationships are established. All of this takes time but it's also a lot of fun. "I wouldn't trade my job for anything in the world. With the internet, the world becomes your audience and all we have to do is set the stage. Judge for yourself and sample the tracks.
