Born in Beaumont,TX,but rasied in the community of South East San Diego,CA,Larry"Alonzo"Love has been a main focal point in the San Diego hip hop movement since the mid 80's.Along with his right hand man J.Rock-J.Massive & their five man crew,D.S.P. amp; Native Soul,they would rhyme and dance their way through the underground Hip Hop scene performing and battling rival crews.
Growing up in the infamous "Ozark APT.'s" in Southeast San Diego, Larry Love saw enough drugs & killings at such a young age that it seemed normal.Living in that type of enviorment only added fuel to his slow street flow.Larry "Alonzo" Love has not only become one of San Diego's most underatted emcees, but on the flip side he has become one of San Diego's most sought after DJ'S. Now it's time to level out the playing field between DJ'N & MC'N, the best of both hip hop worlds.
Takeing notes from some of San Diego's legendary Dj's(King Arthur,D.J. Gill,Gecci Dan.D.J. Jam,Craig Mack,Super Jock Kool-Tee,Kutfarther,Candyman,Pike,D.J. Rags)just to name a few,Alonzo has managed to be one of Southern Cali's most sought after DJ's.Alonnzo was also 1/3 of Califormula Radio Jammin Z-90's morning show" The Funny Farm" from 98' to 2000.
While the art of deejaying has always played a roll in his life, it wasn't until 2001 that Alonzo started to Dj professionally and got his first steady gigat the infamous E-Club.After refining his skills with the help of D.J. Stretch,Alonzo astablished himself as one of San Diego's premiere DJ's.
Now with the mixtape game in full swing,Alonzo's "Respect My Gangsta" vol.1amp;2 have become instant classics.The Village mixtape hosted by Baby Krown(one of San Diego's premiere emcee's)set off the whole mixtape chain reaction which set the foundation for "Respect My Gangsta" vol.1amp;2.Respect My Gangsta vol.1 hosted by Alonzo himself was a smash as well as vol.2(The Dirty Version)hosted by Shady/Aftermath artist Stat Quo.
With the help of Big Score amp; Mohoshi Entertainment,Alonzo is on a mission to take the music industry by storm.Whether it be deejaying at arenas or the hottest club,look out for Alonzo to be somewhere in mix for years to come.
