Diremption is an experimental noise/death metal/grindcore band and one of the triumvirate of Hack Musicians, along with Daughter of the Locust and Fat Girl.
Band/artist history
In July of 2004, I decided that the only way I(Tj Puls) was going to really have fun with music was if I did it entirely by myself and didn't bother myself with trying to keep it sounding like actual music.
Diremption began as a strange exploration of what one can do with poor guitar playing, a lot of screaming, and effects in Soundforge 6.0. Now, there is no more real guitar. It is all programmed in FruityLoops, as are the drums and pretty much all of the effects. It's a cheap way out, but Diremption isn't the sort of musical endeavor that's designed to worry about things like that. It sounds how I want it to, I don't care how bad it sounds or how much I cheated to make it. At least I don't steal...
In April of 2005, I decided to put together Hack Musicians with a couple of friends. Hack Musicians is a publicity group that supports(through morale, not money) and promotes experimental, self-gratifying music such as Diremption. Go to the if this sounds interesting to you.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I don't techincally play at all. I point and click then commence screaming and growling. That's why I'm with Hack Musicians.
