We're DEVRIES. We're four kids who go to Butler High in Charlotte, NC. Yeah, we're in high school, but listen to us, and you wouldn't know.
We've played a few shows, and released an EP.
Band/artist history
We're 4 kids who go to butler highschool. Austin and Dylan met in the 5th. They started playing guitar in 7th grade and tryed to start several bands.
Well, in the summer before 10th grade started They finally started writing songs that didn't suck as bad as the ones they'd written before. So they decided we'd try and find a new drummer that didn't suck and we found Nick, who by the way is a dumbass(but he is a dumbass who can play drums very well). So with Austin on bass and vocals and Dylan on guitar and vocals and Nick on drums we started writing songs. We wrote about 9 or 10 songs and recorded a shitty 4 song demo ourselfs and sold it to anyone who would buy it, and they still dont realize that they got ripped off. Then we started trying to book shows, but we were too lazy to do that ourselves and we forced Jon Davis from the Defeated to get us one. We played one show(well 2 if you count the Butler talent show but i dont cause that sucked), it went alright, the sound guy sucked balls though. And then Nick left to start another band with his friend, dumbass. Well to make a long story short we realized that all but 2 of our songs sucked(Maryanne Fishstick and Mr. Apathetic) so we threw all the other ones out and started working on new ones. Finally we got Nick to come back and Austin decided he wanted to switch to guitar. So then we had to find a new bassist, but that turned out fine cause we found Ben, and 2 guitars sound way better than just one. So now we're practicing like crazy, we just recorded a new less sucky EP called "Pardon My French" and we're currently calling places and trying to get them to book us.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We've played live before, and love it. We always get a good crowd response. The best time was at Tremont Music Hall, where we played in front af about 150-200 people.
